The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, in association with the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers launched a new mobile app for monitoring the occurrence of Dual Food Quality (DFQ): the Food Checker. We aim in building awareness in EU consumers of differences in food composition of the same branded products across European countries

The tool is increasingly being used by many people across countries in Europe. As consumers, you can join our mission by just taking pictures of the front and back packages of branded food & drink products you usually buy in supermarkets.
